Manchester City winger Savinho will not be joining Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to talkSPORT.
The Lilywhites have been trying to sign Savinho this summer as they aim to secure a top-four finish in 2025-26 under new boss Thomas Frank.
The Brazilian reportedly was keen to join the North London outfit in search of more first-team opportunities.
But City boss Pep Guardiola has closed the door on the winger leaving the Etihad Stadium in a blow for Tottenham.
Savinho joined the Citizens last summer from Troyes in a deal worth around £30.8 million.
He made 45 appearances in all competitions last campaign, with two goals and 12 assists to his name.
The Brazil international had been linked with a £50m switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but Guardiola has made it clear he doesn’t want to lose him in this transfer window.
Spurs may now turn their attention to alternative targets.
Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho looks to be a good option for Tottenham.
Sancho has struggled to make an impact at Old Trafford, but he has previously excelled in the Champions League with Borussia Dortmund.
United are willing to sell him for a fee around £20m, with just a year remaining on his current contract.
However, the English footballer has been out of form for years and has rarely impressed in the Premier League, making him a risky signing for Tottenham.
Spurs could also reignite their interest in Harvey Elliott who is still available on the market.
Elliott can play on both wings as well as in midfield, and he could be a direct replacement for the injured Dejan Kulusevski.
But Liverpool are expected to demand a hefty fee for the 22-year-old, who is contracted to the club until 2027.
