Pedro Porro close to signing new long-term contract at Tottenham

Pedro Porro is reportedly close to signing a new long-term contract at Tottenham Hotspur.

The 26-year-old’s contract will not expire until 2028, but the North London outfit are eager to tie him down to a new deal.

According to The Athletic, Porro is nearing an agreement that is proposed to run until 2031, with the option of a further twelve months.

It is said the new contract will make him one of the highest paid players at the Lilywhites.

Tottenham sunk as low as they possibly could without going down to the Championship in 2025-26.

But despite their struggles, Porro was impressive with his performances, amassing 47 appearances across all competitions and making eight goal contributions.

The right-back is currently with Spain’s squad for the 2026 World Cup. He has featured in La Roja’s last three warm-up friendlies and is expected to be part of the team that will play Cape Verde on June 15.

Porro has been a crucial member of Tottenham’s first-team since arriving at the club in January 2023.

He joined on a loan deal with an obligation to buy in the summer for €40 million.

Porro is a gifted right-back who has developed a reputation for his elite crossing, playmaking skills and long-range shooting ability.

He has made 152 appearances across all competitions, with 13 goals and 26 assists to his name.

Porro was key member of Ange Postecoglou’s side that won the Europa League in 2025, starting 12 games including the final against Manchester United.
