Tottenham could offer £34m for Lazio winger Gustav Isaksen

Tottenham Hotspur have endured a hugely disappointing 2024-25 season under manager Ange Postecoglou.

The Lilywhites are languishing in 14th place in the Premier League after losing 15 of their 29 matches.

Tottenham are also out of the cup competitions, with the Europa League now representing their only hope for silverware this campaign.

It remains to be seen whether the club stick with Ange for next season, but it is clear they need reinforcements in the next transfer window. Football Blog expects a busy summer at the North London club.

According to Calciomercato, Tottenham are interested in signing Lazio star Gustav Isaksen.

It is said the Premier League outfit could submit an offer around £34 million for securing the 23-year-old’s services.

However, it remains to be seen whether they can persuade the Denmark international to move to England.

Tottenham also face competition for Isaksen as Inter Milan boss Simone Inzaghi is a huge admirer of the player and wants to bring him to Milan this summer.

The forward is an academy product of Danish side Midtjylland, where he progressed through its youth ranks to earn 139 senior appearances.

He moved to Italy in the summer of 2023 to play for Lazio.

The Dane has established himself as an important first-team player for the Eagles.

In 76 appearances across all competitions, he has scored eight goals and created nine assists.

His numbers have not been great but they will likely improve when he is playing in a better team alongside quality players.

Isaksen mainly operates as a right-winger, but he can also be used as a left-winger as well as a striker.

Tottenham will need to find a replacement for Timo Werner, who will leave the club in the summer upon the expiry of his loan deal.

Isaksen could be a quality replacement as he is young and talented, and could be signed for a reasonable fee.
