Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush in the summer transfer window.
The Lilywhites sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in August but they are yet to sign a replacement for the 30-year-old.
Son Heung-Min and Richarlison have been used as a No. 9 this season but Spurs could look to add a new striker this summer.
A report from Sport Bild claims the Premier League outfit are interested in hiring the services of Egyptian footballer Marmoush.
The 25-year-old joined Eintracht Frankfurt last summer and he has hit the ground running at the Waldstadion.
In 32 appearances across all competitions this campaign, the striker has scored 15 goals and contributed six assists.
Marmoush has a contract at Frankfurt until 2027 but they are said to be ready to cash-on on the forward.
The German outfit reportedly want around £26 million to let their star player leave at the end of the season.
The Egyptian would be a smart acquisition for Tottenham but they face competition for the 25-year-old from Newcastle United.
The Magpies are also chasing a move for Pedro Neto, a player who the North Londoners are trying to bring to the White Hart Lane this summer.
However, the transfer budget at Newcastle is expected to be low given their huge spending in recent years.
Meanwhile, Spurs haven’t spent a lot of money on new recruits since Harry Kane’s sale in August.
